Sandra completed her apprenticeship at Michael Strambi Salon in Lakes Entrance before moving to Melbourne to work for a hairdressing product company and salon in Chapel Street. She moved back to East Gippsland to start up Mount Taylor Hair Design in October last year, travelling around the region to visit brides on their special day and perfect every wave. Passionate about creating stand-out updo’s and delicate textured locks, Mount Taylor Hair Design works with brides and bridal parties to fashion a look that complements the wearer’s personality. “You still want the bride to look like themselves, so it’s about fitting the hairstyle to their personality,” Sandra said. Amid the bustle and anticipation of wedding preparations, Sandra’s professional and calming demeanour ensures brides face no unnecessary stress on their big day. SANDRA HAS ALL THE STYLE “I always do a run through sheet and go over it with the make up artist. It’s the easiest way to minimise stress and coordinate the whole bridal party.” In addition to cuts and styling, Sandra is also an experienced and confident colourist, using Delorenzo colours at her home studio on Bullumwaal Road. The Australian owned and made brand uses plant-based ingredients with no animal testing. “I use Label M for all my styling, which is used in London Fashion Week and Toni & Guy salons,” Sandra adds. “It has a fantastic texturising volume spray that I couldn’t live without. It gives the texturising benefits of a dry shampoo with the hold of a hairspray. “I find that the styles at the moment can vary from lots of texture and volume to simplicity of soft mermaid waves.
