Providing a blank canvas ready for your personal touch, the Bairnsdale RSL leaves you free to take on the responsibility of FUNCTIONING AT A HIGH LEVEL decorating whether you decorate yourself or bring in professional decorators to adorn the room and tables with centrepieces, place cards, flowers and other decorations. The function room has a private bar with experienced staff on the day to help with your needs. The Edlington family and their friends have made and shared many great memories in the garden of their Ellaswood property on the outskirts of Bairnsdale. And with personalities that ‘just want to make other people feel happy’, Gaye and Ronnie Edlington are now opening their beautiful gardens – meticulously designed and planted over the past 12 years - to the public for others to enjoy their own special occasions. The sweeping manicured grounds, complete with pretty feature trees, palms, and a number of different areas of interest, allow for ceremonies to be held in various areas of the garden and cater for almost any theme. Access is first-class and parking is ample on site. There’s even a large swing and a ‘Bali’ style hut, both of which will be popular for vows and wedding photographs. With a country outlook, neighbouring paddocks and old buildings, there are endless opportunities away from the gardens to also consider exploring for photography options. A large covered deck area includes a wine fridge, while there are provisions for heating food. While not a reception venue, brides and grooms are welcome to have outside caterers. “We will do everything we can to make a difference,” Gaye said. “All our beautiful memories have been made here and we would love to be able to help other people create some of their own beautiful memories.
