Offering a relaxed, natural style of photography, the Nicholson based photographer has been preserving the precious moments of maternity, newborns, families and weddings, for more than four years. Though based in East Gippsland, Erin loves to travel and has photographed weddings in Melbourne and the greater Gippsland region, taking shots at a variety of beautiful indoor and outdoor locations. “I love to travel around, meet new people and discover new places,” Erin said. From East Gippsland pastures to wineries in the Yarra Valley, Erin has extensive experience in snapping the perfect shot to remember your special day by, all with a relaxed, calming attitude that makes her a welcome addition to any wedding party. The photographer says that wedding photography is all about telling a story, capturing the unique romance of the bride and groom as they celebrate their love with family and friends. “First look photos are becoming more popular, photos that are taken before the ceremony,” Erin said. “The bride and groom have a ‘first look’, which can be so ERIN CAPTURES EVERY MOMENT special – capturing the facial expressions as they see each other for the first time on their big day.” Erin meets with couples before the date to get a sense of their personalities and create a timeline of what the day will look like, from getting ready to the reception. When she gets the newlyweds together for a couple of private snaps, Erin says the candid shots are just as important as the posed. “I try and get them to pretend I’m not there – just have them talking and relaxed, those are the best ones.” With years of experience, Erin has attended a long list of weddings, and her advice for brides and grooms is to relax and focus on enjoying the day. “It can be stressful leading up to your wedding, and once the day arrives it can go so quickly; make sure you take time to take it all in and enjoy it. “Relax and have fun with your bridal party when getting photos. Those candid fun photos are sometimes the favourites.” As well as weddings, Erin specialises in maternity, newborn and family photos, with her home studio in Nicholson the perfect venue for cosy snaps with the kids or sleepy bubs.
